We have had such a busy day today. Nanny, Grandad, Laurence and Belinda are staying at the moment because there are loads of things on today.
This morning Luke went into town with Nanny and the teenagers. They went out and about and did some visiting and some shopping. Mummy, Kate, Grandad and I went into town in our big car. We brought Grandad and Kate some lunch and left them at the park, then Mummy and I went and did some shopping. I scored some very beautiful and very shiny shoes. After we picked Grandad and Kate up at the park we went for a drive so Kate could have a sleep and we ended up at one of Nelson's beautiful lookouts. There were about and million steps down the hill and back up again, so of course I had to climb them. Mummy and Grandad weren't so keen. Slackers.
After that we went to the cemetery. There we saw Old Nana and Grandad, Nanny Trish, Uncle Noel, Uncle John, Uncle Paul, Uncle Tony, Aunty Mary and Aunty Trina (and all the others). While we were there they blessed Uncle Mark's headstone and buried Aunty Rose's ashes with him. (But there was a bit of waiting because they had forgotten to bring her to the cemetery and Uncle John had to go and fetch her. She would have been horrified!)
Our next stop was the Church next to Old Nana and Old Grandad's house for the birthday afternoon tea. We had a great time. I played mostly with a little girl (whose name Mummy can't remember) but she is the daughter of Ian's girlfriend. We had a great time.
Luke played with Joel, Mitchell, Connor, Mia and Lydia - they were looking for Monsters and being crazy! He had a great time playing rough.
Kate cruised around and Mummy followed her (because the Church is on a very busy road).
It was a lovely and fun day. Happy 80th Birthday Old Nana!
