The first barbeque of the season . . .

This morning Mummy and I remembered that I hadn't done my homework for the holidays! I had ten reading books to get through. So after breakfast Mummy did the dishes (and listened) and I read the first four books to Mia. She is a good reader, so she helped me when I got a bit stuck.

Uncle Ian turned up for lunch with so sausages and bits and pieces, but we were having a power cut (that lasted until 12.30) so we had a barbeque lunch today. It was great sitting outside and chatting. We had a great time. There were also four beautiful Tuis in the Kowhai tree wathcing us.

We had our evening meal inside at the new table though because it was to chilly to go back outside. It isn't summer quite yet.
